The 512 Streaker

A Streak - A commitment made to do something for 365 days straight. This blog is dedicated to documenting my experience of learning something by completing a streak.

60 days done!

I am very happy that I have only ten months left but this month is a little limited on results. I kind of had a set back since we traveled to Scotland and indulged in a week of good food and scotch; so my total weight did not go down that much from last month. My waistline was 36 last month and is now 36.5 and my total weight was 207 and is now 209. From last month, as you can see, there is not a lot of fluctuation.

Another let down of this month was I hardly had time to get the gym and work on my pull-up routine. When I embarked on this streak, I had a goal to be able to do 50 pull-ups in a row by the end of it. I thought I would slowly chisel away at that over the course of the streak. I mean, I still can, I still have ten months. But I really have not spent much time doing pull-ups.

On the plus side, after 60 days my the app granted me a new workout!!! The workout is called "Upper Body" and focuses on, you guessed it, upper body. For two months now, I have only been able to do one workout to complete the 7-minute timeframe. So this will add to the flavor a bit.

It just occurred to me that I have not explained to y'all the format of the 7-minute workout. It is a collection of 12 exercises

Jumping Jacks
Wall-sits
Push-ups
Crunches
Step-ups
Squats
Tricep dips
Planks
Lunges
High-knees running
Push-ups with rotations
Side-planks

You do each of these exercises for 30 seconds each with a three second break in between each one. The biggest impact that these exercises have had on my body is my triceps, shoulders, and butt.

Next month I am hoping for some big results since I do not have a vacation and will have more time to focus on pull-ups and a steady diet so stay tuned!
